Hey people, like the previous one, please do come and join if you're free. I'm hoping more people can benefit from talks like these. And abit about the speaker.

Bro Tan Ho Soon is a well-known friendly, approachable and knowledgeable Dhamma speaker. He is also very active in Nalanda Institute. He has a PhD in Pali Studies. Some of the stuff I know about him.

You know every week we chant, "Imina punna kammena, mame bala samagamo, satam samagamo hotu, yava nibbana pattiya". In English, "May we never follow the foolish, but only the wise, up till the time I attain Nibbana."

So it is an aspiration we make and the more we keep away from fools, the better. Please do make it if you're available.

Thank you.

With Metta,
Sui Yuan.

Would like to invite all youth EXCO members to the above course. Sis Vineeta has personally requested for us to be there. Anyone free on that day, please register yourselves with me. Its the start of the school holidays so I hope that those still in school would take this day out to spend time together learning something beneficial.

The speaker should be familiar to all of you and if you should have heard of him. Uncle Vijaya has been around for a long time giving good advice and his thoughts on this issue will help us alot.

Hoping for some good response.

Thank you.

With metta,
Sui Yuan.

PS : Bring anyone else who is interested. The more people who benefit, the better.

A New Year, A New Look

Ok from now on, being the co-creator of this blog (dear Kelly was the other one), I decided to revamp it a little and give it a darker, stronger look.

From now on, I'll be posting at least monthly on what activities that will be held in the following weeks.

So far, the only confirmed activity is the next few weeks is the CNY Caroling. I'll post up the practice times, so check back here. The details of the caroling will be posted up later but just to let you guys know (how the hell did you not know yet ?) that the date is 7th February, Saturday.

Please keep that day free because we estimate the whole thing will take the whole day, right from morning till dinner time. Lunch will be provided.

Oh ya, if you guys, any youth in the Sunday School would like to post your thoughts, comments, suggestions etc. please do email them to bisdsyouth@gmail.com. I'll moderate them and post them here.

For a start, I'll like if anyone post their experience of the 7th Youth Camp. I'm sure you guys had a blast. Or if you did post it on your blog, email me and I'll link you.

Thanks ppl.

Have a great 2 weeks off. Finally some Sunday mornings to sleep. And Happy Chinese New Year !

Cheers
Sui Yuan
